If Friday rolls around and you’re planning a quick trip out of town to the mountains or the beach, you’ll want to make sure you have enough energy for the ride. You’d be surprised by everything that will make you tired when you jump behind the wheel.

Not Drinking Enough Water

Even a mild level of dehydration can change your mood. Mental functions and energy levels can also decrease if your body isn’t properly hydrated. With less water in your system, your blood volume can lower, making your body work harder for nutrients and oxygen and causing fatigue. Counteract this by carrying water with you and sipping throughout the day. Pack an extra bottle for the ride. Read the rest of this entry »

The 2020 Chevrolet Camaro puts the American muscle car back on the map with significant redesigns. The 2019 model left some disappointed, though it still had the power and capability we look for in a Camaro. This year, that’s changed with the significant improvements Chevy has made for the much-beloved pony car. Here are some of the reasons the Chevrolet Camaro should be back on your radar, thanks to the 2020 incarnation.

New Front Fascia

The most immediately recognizable change for the Camaro is its front end. The 2019 model’s broken-up, blacked-out grille has been redesigned to have a more fluid, classic look. The 2020 Camaro has a two-tiered grille that gives it a sharp, aggressive presence on the road that does more justice to the pony car’s heritage. The hood is more curved, the lines more aerodynamic, and the body overall is more full of personality than last year’s model.

V-8 Affordability

The 2020 Camaro now has the best price tag for a V-8 engine among its competitors. The all-new LT1 trim level will boast a 6.2-liter V-8 engine that will pack a white-knuckled 455 horsepower for a more reasonable price than the lowest-level V-8-toting Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger. Previously, this engine was available starting at the SS trim, but Chevy lowered it to give easier access to V-8 power to Camaro fans.

Better Transmission

Last year, the V-6 engine Camaro had an eight-speed automatic transmission. This year, it’s been upgraded to a 10-speed automatic to make for a more exciting ride for the V-6 Camaro. The four-cylinder engines will still use the eight-speed, but the more you move up in trim levels, the better the performance features get.

LT1 Features

That all-new trim we mentioned will offer more than just the V-8 engine and 10-speed transmission. For those who don’t want to give up power, a manual transmission will be the default for the LT1. The trim will be available as a hard-top or convertible. Like the SS, it will boast 20-inch wheels to lend it a powerful stance. This trim level brings in many of the features you would find at higher trims together for a more affordable package.

Extras

The 2020 Camaro will see many more smaller options and changes for the new lineup. These include optional rear spoilers, 20-inch aluminum wheels, red or orange brake calipers, new interior and exterior colors, alloy pedals, and more. You’ll also have access to tinted taillights, new bucket seats, and red seatbelts and knee pads. Some of the packages that were optional will be standard, such as the Convenience and Lighting Package for the 3LT trim. These small additions make it easier to find the Camaro that perfectly matches your style.

The best place to explore the 2020 Chevrolet Camaro will be with our team at Burien Chevrolet. We’re just as excited to test drive this updated Camaro as you are. When the 2020 Camaro rolls into dealerships this fall, you can expect to find the perfect model for you at Burien.

Cars traffic Burien, WA

Image via Flickr by garryknight

Just like any other large city, the streets can get pretty thick in Burien. It’s important that you and your passengers stay safe while maneuvering through any crowded metropolis. Whether it’s navigating the frontage roads or cruising turnarounds, driving in busy areas has its challenges. Drive like a local with these six handy tips for piloting your way through congested traffic.

Slow Down

According to one resource, 25 percent of car accidents happen during rush hour. This time of day is particularly dangerous due to the high volume of people rushing to get home from work. The number of distractions increases too, like the kid’s excited chatter about their day at school.

When you hit that wall of traffic, slow down. Trying to zigzag from lane to lane won’t save you much time in the long run, and it’s stressful. When you keep your speed low, you have plenty of time to avoid potential collisions with those impatient drivers who are weaving their way forward. Read the rest of this entry »
