The Chevrolet Colorado continues to receive acclaim for its refined capability and performance, its technological offerings and its overall value, this time being awarded the 2024 Best Truck of the Year by the Hispanic Motor Press Association (HMPA).

The award was presented at AutoMobility LA by HMPA president Ricardo Rodriguez-Long and a representative panel of distinguished judges during their 14th annual HMPA program.

The 2024 jury panel is comprised of independent Hispanic automotive media, content creators and industry influencers who evaluate vehicles based on criteria including overall design, comfort, safety, economy, handling, performance, functionality, infotainment integration, interior design, environmental requirements, driver satisfaction and price.

Chevrolet is proud to be distinguished in this category, especially given the popularity of pickup trucks among Hispanic consumers. The 2023 Colorado lineup includes Work Truck (WT), LT, Z71, ZR2 and first-ever Trail Boss models. The lineup features three distinctive chassis stances to optimize each model’s capabilities. Together, they compose a more diverse range of choices tailored to the distinctive ways customers use their trucks for work and recreational activities, including off-roading.

“As Latinos, we look for the most value in every one of our purchases,” said Ricardo Rodriguez-Long, president of Hispanic Motor Press. “We have immense buying power and are discerning customers when it comes to selecting vehicles for ourselves, our families and our lifestyles. HMP recognizes the brands that continuously meet the needs of our community and deliver quality, reliable products.”
