4 Reasons You'll Love the 2020 Silverado 3500 HD the Moment You Climb In

Chevy kicks off the 2020 model year with its debut of the fully redesigned Silverado 3500 HD. From reliable power and loads of torque to a full suite of advanced technology, work and play just got a whole lot easier with this new pickup. Go ahead and climb inside. You're going to love it. Here are four reasons why. Newly Available Powertrain The overhauled Silverado 3500 HD touts a new 6.6-liter V-8 gas engine under the hood. It leads the class in available torque: 464 pound-feet. It puts out 401 horsepower and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The 6.6-liter diesel V-8 by Duramax delivers 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque. It's available at every trim level, and this engine pairs nicely with the new Allison 10-speed automatic transmission. more Improved Performance Thanks to the Silverado 3500 HD's new gasoline engine and class-leading torque, you'll see significant improvements in this truck's performance. From a 35,500-pound trailing rating to 7,442 pounds of payload capacity, its ratings top the class, no matter which powertrain you select. It's now equipped with more advanced technology such as an available EZ Lift tailgate and the 15-way camera that makes towing and maneuvering your trailer a breeze. Spacious Cabin Chevrolet's fourth-generation Silverado 3500 HD's redesigned cabin offers even more space for front and rear-seat passengers. Its longer wheelbase and higher cab position give you and your crew room to stretch out in comfort, plus it touts loads of storage options. The available, industry-first rear in-seat storage bins are designed to stow away small items, while the 24-liter under-seat compartment is large enough to keep that toolbox safely out of your way. Choices Galore For the upcoming model year, Chevy plans to release the Silverado HD in four trim levels and a variety of configurations. There's a 3500 HD for every heavy-duty job. Select from three cabs, including the regular, an extended double, and the four-door crew cab —  plus two different bed lengths that offer a maximum 83.5 cubic feet of cargo volume. Get your new Silverado equipped with either four-wheel or dual-rear-wheel drive. Start with the no-nonsense base Work Truck trim, or discover the range-topping, fully loaded High Country variant with leather upholstery and heated and ventilated front seats. Most shoppers will want to take the mid-level LT model out for a spin. It includes loads of appealing amenities, including a WiFi hotspot, more USB ports, and power door locks. The LTZ trim takes things one step further by adding a number of standard features such as LED headlights, dual-zone climate control, and variable-assist steering. Why not add the optional Safety Package II suite of features, including forward-collision warnings and automatic emergency braking? Thanks to Chevrolet's new flagship heavy-duty truck, this segment just got a whole lot more competitive, making the new 3500 HD a compelling choice for 2020. Award Winning Chevrolet Models for 2019

Image via Flickr by truckhardware Chevrolet is renowned for making great cars, SUVs, and trucks and they are no strangers to receiving awards. Their dependability, NHTSA safety ratings, and driver satisfaction awards are among the accolades they regularly achieve. Here are the Chevrolet models that have won awards in 2019. Chevrolet Tahoe For the second consecutive year, the winner of the 2019 Edmunds award for the Buyers Most Wanted Large SUV was the Chevrolet Tahoe. Its luxurious driving experience, powerful performance, versatility, and contemporary design won over the hearts and the wallets of car buyers. The Tahoe also won the 2019 Kelly Blue Book Best Resale Value for Full-Size SUV / Crossover. One of the important factors buyers take into account when looking for a new car is depreciation. The 2019 Tahoe is estimated to have a resale value of 55% after 36 months, and 43% at 60 months. When it's time to trade in your SUV, you can be assured of the best price. more Chevrolet Equinox The stylish Chevrolet Equinox was the winner of the 2019 J.D. Power award for Most Dependable Compact SUV, based on a survey of 2016 models. The survey is rated on four criteria: Overall - which is based on problems experienced by owners after the first three years of having the car. Mechanical - relates to problems with the engine, transmission, and driving experience. Exterior and interior - based on reported problems with the outside, inside, and seats. Features and controls - issues with the climate control system, displays, infotainment system, and other controls. For each of these categories, the Equinox received a maximum score of 10. Its spacious interior, versatile cargo space, fuel-efficient performance that gives you up to 32 miles per gallon on the highway, and proven dependability make the Equinox a wise choice. Chevrolet Corvette Two 2019 Corvette models made it onto the Car and Driver 10 Best Cars list. The Grand Sport and Z06 met the criteria of being value for money, full of personality, fun to drive, and having the precise engineering standards for a performance car. The Corvette ZR1 was awarded the Road & Track 2019 Performance Car of the Year. Among the figures tested was the 0 to 60 mph time of just 3.1 seconds and the 60 to 0 mph braking distance of 112 feet. Chevrolet Silverado The 2019 J.D. Power award for Most Dependable Large Heavy-Duty Pickup went to both the 2016 Silverado 2500HD and the 3500HD. Based on overall dependability, mechanical, exterior and interior, and features and controls, both trucks scored 36 of a possible 40 points. Chevrolet Colorado The Colorado ZR2 Bison won the 2019 Popular Mechanics Automotive Excellence Award for Off-Road Truck of the Year. Triple locking differentials, Multimatic dampers, a wider stance, and a choice of powerful engines enable the ZR2 Bison to take you where other trucks cannot go. In addition to these awards, the following 2019 Chevrolet vehicles were awarded the NHTSA 5-star safety rating: Traverse, Equinox, Trax, Impala, Camaro, and Corvette. What to Expect from the 2018 Chevy Colorado Redline

The Redline is a first-ever series that Chevy introduced for its 2018 lineup of vehicles. Named for the eponymous stripes on the inside of each rim and other red details across the body, these vehicles are notorious head-turners. But it's not just the unique look that makes them a popular option for drivers who like style — particularly for those who prefer a utility-focused truck like the Colorado. These are some of the specs, performance features, and other benefits that make the 2018 Chevy Colorado Redline exceptional. Exterior Accents The first thing you can expect and will likely notice from these vehicles is the exterior design. A few touches are exclusive to these models. Red accents more line the interior of rims and can be seen on the body, such as with the red front tow hooks on the Colorado. These trucks also sport signature black wheels and black grilles and bowties, which makes already powerful rides like the 2018 Chevy Colorado look even faster and more dominating. Perks of the Colorado The Redline enhancements are available for the Chevy Colorado, which is a highly-rated pickup with very competitive specs. Most notably, the Colorado has a high towing capacity. The bed length can also be configured to a maximum length of 74 inches, depending on the exact build. Exclusive to the LT If you want a Redline Series Colorado, you have to build the LT trim. This is the mid-level of five trims Highlights of the LT include:17-inch wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an 8-inch color touch screen. A 3-6-liter V-6 is the standard engine on the LT. This gets 308 horsepower and delivers 275 pound-feet of torque. Four-wheel drive is also standard. Also, your upgrade to the Redline Edition package will include power-adjustable seat controls, projector headlamps, and single-zone automatic climate control, among other features. Customizations for Your Chevy Truck The Redline Edition is only available on the LT trim of the Chevy Colorado. However, you still have a few choices for how you configure the vehicle. First, you can pick a crew cab, short box or one of the two long box options — an extended cab or crew cab. The short box is 61.7 inches, and the long boxes are 74.7 inches. You can also pick either two-wheel or four-wheel drive and one of three engines: a 2.5-liter I-4, a 3.6-liter V-6, or a 2.8-liter Turbo-Diesel I-4. Note that certain powertrains are exclusive to certain builds. For example, if you want a Turbo-Diesel I-4 on the extended cab, you must build a four-wheel-drive Colorado. The Redline Edition encompasses a range of Chevy vehicles, including its trucks, cars, crossovers, and SUVs. You can get an idea of the look from the manufacturer's website, but these vehicles are best experienced in person. There's no better way to see how the urban-inspired design makes such a difference to already popular Chevy models.
