Here are some of the key features of the new Blazer.

Exterior Styling

The base Blazer features an aggressively styled grille with active aero shutters, distinctive narrow LED daytime running lights above the automatic high-intensity discharge headlights, bright 18-inch alloy wheels, deep-tinted glass, body-colored door handles, heated power door mirrors, and LED taillights.

The RS adds a unique gloss black RS grille, 20-inch dark wheels, automatic dimming door mirrors with integrated turn signals, black roof rails, and a hands-free foot-activated power liftgate. Premier models have body-color door handles with chrome accents and silver roof rails.

Power and performance

Powering the base model is a 193 horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 188 pound-feet of torque. It will return up to 27 mpg for highway driving. Available on the base model and standard on RS and Premier trims is a 3.6-liter V-6 engine delivering 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. You will get up to 26 mpg on the highway.

Both engines are paired with a smooth-shifting nine-speed automatic transmission and feature stop/start technology which helps to improve fuel efficiency. All models with the V-6 engine are available with all-wheel drive and have a towing capacity of up to 4,500 pounds.

Interior

Inside the base model, you’ll find premium cloth upholstery with an eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat and 60/40 split folding rear seats. You have 30.5 cubic feet of cargo space which increases to 64.2 cubic feet with the rear seats folded flat. Interior features include keyless entry and start, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, leather multifunction steering wheel, and a 4.2-inch driver information display.

RS models add perforated leather upholstery with heated front seats and power adjustable passenger seat, remote start, an 8-inch driver information display, heated steering wheel, and ambient lighting. The Premier has heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and bright sill plates.

Technology

Base models feature the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system with 8-inch touch screen, six-speaker audio with satellite radio, Bluetooth, voice command, smartphone integration, 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, two USB ports, and a 120-volt power outlet. The RS has a navigation system, SD card reader, and auxiliary input. Premier adds a premium infotainment system and an eight-speaker Bose audio system. All models are available with a rear entertainment system with a DVD player.

Safety Features

Standard safety equipment on the Blazer includes electronic stability control, traction control, tire pressure monitoring and tire fill alert, an HD rear camera, and teen driver function. RS adds rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, lane change alert with blind spot monitoring, and an automatic-dimming rear-view mirror. Forward collision warning with automatic braking and pedestrian detection are available.
