Chevrolet of Burien is Where to Get Used Trucks!

Iconic vehicles and Chevy experts to make appearances daily Chevrolet is reimagining summer car cruising through a week-long virtual festival – Cruisin’ the USA in your Chevrolet – that celebrates more than a century of the brand’s automotive history. Hosted on Chevy’s social media channels from August 10-16, the event is designed to take viewers back in time to experience the brand’s rich heritage of innovation, design and passion. “Classic car events have served as a place for us to honor Chevrolet’s deep automotive history and its influence on our present and future with car enthusiasts from around the world,” said Steve Majoros, vice president of marketing, Chevrolet. “Cruisin’ the USA in your Chevrolet is a way for us to keep that spirit alive.” Each day of the festival will incorporate a different theme and immerse the audience in historic footage, guest appearances, trivia and more. Chevy experts will also provide in-depth looks at some of the brand’s most iconic vehicles housed at the General Motors Heritage Center and even share their own custom Chevy builds. The week will kick off with a journey back to 1911, when Chevy was founded by Louis Chevrolet and Billy Durant. Viewers will have access to rare archival photos and videos from the last 109 years showcasing Chevy’s memorable feats. Highlights of the past and present will include technological evolutions of Chevy’s electric vehicles, as well as its trucks and performance vehicles. Children can also join in on the fun by downloading specially-designed coloring pages, puzzles and activities from the Chevy Design School and exploring cool Chevy themes to outfit their Animal Crossing world. Chevy started producing cars over 100 years ago, and since then has come out with some of the most iconic and recognizable vehicles on the road. Over the years, many classic Chevy's have also made their way into the movies, and not just in a supporting role. Here are some of the most iconic Chevy models uses prominently in popular movies. The Chevy Camaro The Chevy Camaro has made several appearances in both films and on television. One of the most memorable Chevy's is the Autobot Bumblebee from the Transformers movie. The Camaro seen in the movie was specifically designed for the part, and there are several different alterations throughout the movies. It started with a 1977 Camaro, evolved into a fifth-generation, and then went through some additional changes in the second and third movies. more The Chevy Impala American Graffiti is an iconic movie, and it features the very iconic Chevy Impala. More importantly, Ron Howard's character is the one who owned the Impala. Steve, Ron's character loans the car to his friend Terry the Toad who wants to use it to impress a girl. After the movie wrapped, the Impala sold for just a few hundred dollars. The Chevy Lumina Days of Thunder not only started Tom Cruise, but it also starred the Chevy Lumina. It was Cole Trickle's race car in the movie and appeared as a NASCAR. Throughout the film, we see the Lumina crash and then get rebuilt and repainted for the next race, but it keeps coming back better than ever. Many viewers don't realize that this movie, and in part the Chevy Lumina, played a role in launching one of the most successful decades in NASCAR's history. The Chevy El Camino One of Chevy's most iconic vehicles was the El Camino, and the 1968 model appeared in one of Harold and Maude's best scenes. The characters used the car to liberate a tree and were later pulled over for driving through a toll booth. Maude, played by Ruth Gordon performed several doughnuts trying to lose the cop, and when the officers bike stalls, they get away. Interestingly enough, although Ruth Gordon was behind the wheel of the El Camino in most of the movie, she actually did not know how to drive. The Chevy Suburban The Chevy Suburban has a long history with several different appearances in movies over the years. It first appeared in The Muppet Movie in 1979, but you'll also find one in Men in Black and Almost Famous. Jeff Bridges even drove a 1978 Chevy Suburban in the movie Crazy Heart where he played an alcoholic country singer who travels around in his Suburban. He won an Oscar for Best Leading Actor for this film. These are a few of the Chevy models you can see up on the big screen. The following are six benefits of going with a Chevy CPO program rather than buying one via a private party sale or other used car dealer. more The 3-Day/150-mile Exchange Program This exchange program allows you to exchange your vehicle for another within three days or 150 miles. This perk is usually only afforded to luxury car buyers so it's a nice touch if you're an indecisive person. And because Chevrolet shares their CPO program with Buick and GMC, you can even trade for a different car brand. Access To Exclusive Offers With a CPO vehicle you're eligible for exclusive offers such as special financing. Not all buyers are eligible, so it's best to contact the local dealership to discuss availability. Vehicle Eligibility Requirements A benefit of the CPO program with Chevrolet is the requirement for all vehicles to meet their strict evaluation and manufacturing standards. To earn a certified badge vehicles must: Be a Chevrolet, Buick, or GMC. Be within current plus 5 model years. Have a maximum of 75,000 miles on them.
