2020 Chevrolet Malibu

The Malibu is available in L, LS, RS, LT, and Premier trim levels. The L model features a distinctive black deep and wide grille, automatic headlamps, signature daytime running lamps (DRL), power mirrors, color-keyed door handles, and 16-inch alloy wheels, while the LS offers laminated acoustic glass.

RS trim features include a unique chrome-trimmed grille, a rear spoiler, color-keyed mirrors, and 18-inch wheels. The LT trim adds LED DRL, heated mirrors, 17-inch wheels, and LED taillamps. Premier models feature LED headlamps, bright front sill plates, mirrors with integrated turn signals, 19-inch wheels, door handles with chrome inserts, and a twin-pane power sunroof.

Most models are powered by a lively and fuel-efficient 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine generating 160 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. Power is transferred to the front wheels by a continuously variable transmission. Under the hood of the Premier trim is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 250 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque via a nine-speed automatic

The base engine will give you up to 29 mpg around the city and 36 mpg for highway driving, while the 2.0-liter turbo returns up to 22 mpg and 32 mpg. Road imperfections are smoothed out by the well-tuned suspension to give you a refined ride on the highway, while the nimble handling makes the Malibu fun to drive on winding roads.

Inside the Malibu's stylish and contemporary cabin, you'll find spacious seating for five people, while the trunk gives you 15.7 cubic feet of cargo space. L models feature premium cloth upholstery, 60/40 split-folding rear seats, keyless entry and start, air conditioning, cruise control, a vehicle information display, a tilting-and-telescoping steering column, and a 12-volt power outlet.

The Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system features Bluetooth media streaming, voice control, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration, and steering wheel-mounted controls. System control is via the 8-inch touch screen.

With the LS trim, you get a Wi-Fi hot spot, while the RS adds a power driver's seat and a leather-wrapped shift knob and steering wheel. LT models feature remote start, dual-zone automatic temperature control, heated front seats, and satellite radio.

The luxurious Premier trim adds perforated leather upholstery, cooled front seats, memory functions for the driver's seat and side mirrors, a power passenger seat, heated second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, ambient lighting, an 8-inch cluster display, wireless charging, a 120-volt power outlet, navigation, and a nine-speaker Bose audio system.

Standard safety features for the Malibu include electronic grade braking, electronic stability control, traction control, a backup camera, a tire pressure monitoring system, and a rear-seat reminder. Adding the optional Driver Confidence Package to LT and Premier trims gives you rear parking sensors, side blind zone warning, and lane change warning.

The available Driver Confidence Package II adds a following distance indicator, frontal collision warning, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane departure alert, lane-keep assist, and auto high beams.
