Trim Levels (Exterior)
There are five trim levels to choose from with the 2020 Chevrolet Equinox starting with the base L and moving up to the LS, LT, and Premier. The base trim will get you things like 17-inch aluminum wheels, automatic on/off headlamps, body-color door handles, heated power outside mirrors, and much more. Moving up in trims to the LS, LT, and Premier adds available features that include an illuminated black bowtie emblem, molded assist steps, and rear splash guards. With 10 exterior colors to choose from, you can customize your Equinox to fit your style.
Engine (Power)
The Equinox offers two engines for the 2020 model. Standard on all trims is a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that puts out 170 horsepower. It's paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. An available option, for those needing a little more power, is a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine which will give you 252 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. This one is paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission and is equipped with a tow/haul drive mode.
Performance
For an extra smooth, comfortable ride, the three upper trim levels are available with all-wheel drive. This helps to improve traction on slippery or snow covered roads. It also provides better fuel efficiency. With standard start/stop technology, you'll get even more miles per gallon out of your Equinox. Also standard across all trims is the MacPherson front suspension which helps reduce the feel of ruts and rough patches in the road. Electronic stability control and performance brake linings make this crossover even more enjoyable to drive.
Interior
Plenty of interior features make for a drive that you'll wish didn't have to end. Never fumble for your keys again with standard keyless entry and keyless start. With either a four-way or eight-way power adjustable driver's seat, depending on trim, you'll be able to find exactly the right position for a comfortable drive. Steering wheel-mounted controls mean you can keep your eyes on the road, while still performing important tasks. An available rear-seat infotainment center with DVD player will keep back seat passengers entertained on long drives.
