For the 2019 model year, the Chevrolet Tahoe comes in three trim levels: LS, LT, and Premier. On the LS trim, the Tahoe has some nice exterior offerings, including heated power outside mirrors, black assist steps, roof rails, and 18-inch aluminum wheels with a high-polished finish. The LT ups the ante with a power programmable liftgate, while the Premier trim adds on auto-dimming power heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals, fog lamps, high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps, fog lamps, a hands-free liftgate, and 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels. Engine

All three trims come with the same standard engine, but it has enough power to satisfy the nearly insatiable speed demon. A 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V-8 engine does the heavy lifting, churning out a whopping 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. This monster allows the Tahoe to ramp up from 0-60 in just 5.7 seconds, with a top speed of 113 mph. If you still need more power, the 2019 Tahoe also has an available 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V-8 engine that doles out a mighty 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Both engines come with a six-speed automatic transmission, although a 10-speed is available on the Premier trim. Rear-wheel drive is standard; four-wheel drive is optional.

Performance

When you need to tow a camper, boat, or trailer, the Tahoe can do the job with ease. The 5.3-liter V-8 hauls up to 6,600 pounds, while the 6.2-liter option provides an impressive 8,400 pounds. With either engine, you'll get a standard tow mode that allows more control and torque than regular driving mode. Despite its sizable engine options, the Tahoe still gets up to 22 mpg on the highway and 15 mpg in the city.

Interior

The centerpiece of the 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe's interior is a standard 8-inch touch screen that has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless smartphone integration. One of the niftiest features is that this touch screen lifts up to unveil a hidden compartment with a USB charger, perfect for charging your phone in secrecy. Available to seat seven or eight people, the three-row Tahoe is cavernous. Even at full passenger capacity, it still has a total cargo space of 94.7 cubic feet.

Safety Features
