<p>The Silverado 3500HD offers three strong powertrains. The Vortec 6.0L VVT V-8 SFI engine produces 360 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. A variable valve timing feature improves the motor for high-end power and low-end torque.</p> <p>Chevrolet's 6.0L V-8 SFI Gaseous CNG/LPG engine produces 360 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. This unique engine is capable of burning different types of fuel: gasoline, compressed natural gas, or liquefied petroleum gas. </p> <p>The Silverado's available third engine is a beast. The Duramax 6.6L Turbo-Diesel V-8 delivers 445 horsepower and a jaw-dropping 910 pound-feet of torque. This engine must be paired with an Allison 1000 six-speed automatic transmission and is designed for the most challenging jobs.</p>
