Engine
The base Equinox features a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces a very peppy 170-horsepower and gets 26 mpg city and 32 mpg highway. Chevy offers two additional available motors, including an energetic 252-horsepower turbo-four and a fuel-efficient 137-horsepower turbodiesel that earns 28 mpg city and 39 highway.
