The 2019 Chevy Cruze comes in five trims: L, LS, LT, Premier, and the Diesel. Get your choice of both the sedan or the hatchback in every trim, except the base L. This model year, the Cruze is dressed to impress with a few updates to its exterior styling. You'll notice a sleeker aerodynamic profile and an aggressive new front fascia and grille.

Engine

Under the hood of the 2019 Cruze awaits a standard turbocharged engine that produces 153 horsepower and is paired up with a stock six-speed automatic transmission. This powerhouse earns one of the highest fuel economy ratings in the compact segment — 30 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway. New car shoppers can opt for the turbodiesel engine that produces 137 horsepower and delivers even better fuel economy. When mated with a nine-speed automatic transmission, it reaches 31 mpg city and 48 highway. You won't see an optional manual transmission on the Cruze's 2019 options list. It's discontinued.

Performance

The new for 2019 Cruze comes loaded with an impressive lineup of standard features. Every trim offers the Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system that's integrated into an intuitive display. This 7-inch touch screen has crisp graphics and a straightforward, responsive interface. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both standard, and so is the Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth connectivity, and two USB smartphone ports.

Interior

The sedan delivers above-average cargo room for the class, with the L and LS trims offering up a vast 14.8 cubic feet.

Safety Features
