<p>Available in both a convertible or a coupe, the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette comes in three trims: 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT, each offered with the optional Z51 performance package. Although entry level sounds a bit odd with regard to a Corvette, the entry-level 1LT offers Michelin Super Sport performance tires, tinted glass, high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps, a rear-opening hood, chrome accents, power heated outside mirrors, and five-spoke silver-painted aluminum alloy wheels. Both the 2LT and 3LT add auto-dimming side mirrors.</p> <p>Although the 2LT and 3LT offer little else to the exterior, remember that all three trims allow full customization, including your choice of 10 wheel styles, racing stripes, chrome badging, and other body-colored accents.</p> <p>Make the ultimate statement in the Corvette with one of nine color choices such as Corvette Racing Yellow, Torch Red, Black, Shadow Gray, Blade Silver, Sebring Orange, Matrix Gray, Arctic White, and Long Beach Red.</p>
Engine
<p>Each trim of the 2019 Corvette comes equipped with the same engine, but the adrenaline rush you'll receive is indescribable. Under the hood, the sports car dons a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 that's good for 455 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. With a foot to the accelerator, this V-8 gives the Corvette enough juice to ramp up from 0-60 in just 3.7 seconds, with a cardiac-inducing top speed of 175 mph.</p> <p>Rear-wheel drive and a seven-speed manual transmission comes standard. An eight-speed automatic transmission is optional, and although it's easier to drive, it doesn't take the fun out of the equation. Either way, the Corvette can rival nearly any other sports car on the road.</p>
Performance
<p>Although the Corvette is one of the most capable and powerful vehicles on the road, it gets amazing fuel economy. With the seven-speed manual transmission, expect up to 25 mpg on the highway and 16 mpg in the city. The automatic tallies nearly the same numbers with 25 mpg on the highway and 15 mpg in the city.</p> <p>Handling is also superb on the Corvette thanks to Brembo performance brakes, traction management, and a four-wheel independent suspension. The available Z51 performance package is a nice touch for gearheads, providing an upgraded suspension, an electronic limited slip differential, and improved aerodynamics.</p>
Interior
The 2019 Corvette gets an updated infotainment system this year, offering Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for smartphone integration and instant access to apps, contacts, music, and more. A 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot keeps you connected, while a performance data recorder, head-up display, and premium sound make the ride all the better.

Few supercars offer loads of safety amenities, but the Corvette has your safety in mind. Bi-xenon headlights, traction control, OnStar automatic crash response, and anti-lock brakes highlight the superb safety offerings.
