<p>The starting engine in the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that delivers 200 horsepower and 191 pound-feet of torque, and you can choose between a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. With the right configuration and towing equipment, the engine can pull up to 3,500 pounds. </p><p>The gasoline upgrade's a 3.6-liter V-6 that offers 308 horsepower and 275 pound-feet, along with an eight-speed automatic, and its towing max is 7,000 pounds. The best towing power comes with the diesel engine: a 2.8-liter four-cylinder that provides 181 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque for a towing limit of 7,700 pounds.</p>
Performance
You can maneuver around tight spaces more easily in a 2018 Colorado than you can in a Silverado, but maneuverability isn't all the pickup has to offer. With the right body configuration, the truck can carry 1,574 pounds in the bed, and the standard Tow/Haul Mode makes it easier to drive near the weight limit by moving up the shift points to keep the revolutions per minute (RPM) high. Interior
<p>Aside from the base model, the 2018 Chevy Colorado has an available back row. The extended cab doesn't have much room to spare, though, so if you want adult passengers or enough space for storage, you should get the crew cab for rear doors and an extra 7 inches of legroom. The Colorado's infotainment system comes standard with a 4.2-inch multi-color display, but other models feature 7 and 8-inch screens with MyLink and OnStar 4G LTE with a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot.</p><p>You can also get things like a Bose sound system, heated seats, remote start, leatherette or leather-appointed seats, and all-weather floor liner and mats.</p>
Safety Features
The 2018 Colorado starts with six air bags and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System, plus the Chevrolet Teen Driver system and five years of OnStar Basic coverage.
