<p>The heart of the 2018 Chevy Bolt EV's an electric motor that produces up to 200 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of instant torque. A 60-kWh lithium-ion battery keeps the engine going for an EPA-estimated 238-mile range and a combined 119 miles for city and highway.</p><p>Both the LT and Premier offers DC fast charging capabilities, and if you have access to a DC fast charging station, you can use this connection to add about 90 miles to the battery range every 30 minutes.</p>
Peformance
<p>The 2018 Bolt EV's definitely a next generation electric vehicle. You can see by the DC fast charging connection and the vehicle's long range, but there are smaller touches, too. Regen on Demand and One-Pedal Driving switch on the regenerative brakes automatically for maximum efficiency. Plus, the normal brake pedal still works if you need to stop in a hurry. </p><p>On top of that, the exterior has a design sculpted for maximum aerodynamics, including the completely flat undercarriage that doesn't need an exhaust pipe. You also get an instrument cluster that has many ways to tell you how efficiently you're driving.</p>
Interior
<p>The 2018 Chevrolet Bolt EV has 16.9 cubic feet to spare behind the backseat, and if you fold the rear seats down, you can pack up to 56.6 cubic feet of cargo. The interior also comes with some excellent features, like a voice-activated audio system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the Premier offers a package that upgrades the LT's six speakers to a seven-speaker Bose audio system. </p><p>Both trims come with OnStar 4G connection, and they also include an auxiliary power outlet, automatic climate control with a cabin air filter, and an 8-inch driver cluster.</p>
Safety Features
<p>Safety on the 2018 Bolt EV starts with 10 air bags, an OnStar Basic plan covering five years, and StabiliTrak stability control system. Add the Driver Confidence Package to the LT and enjoy the same standard benefits on the Premier. This package includes Side Blind Zone Alert with Lane Change Alert, Rear Parking Assist, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. </p><p>You can add the Driver Confidence II Package to both the LT and Premier vehicles as well. Benefits include Forward Collision Alert with Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist, IntelliBeam headlamps, and Following Distance Indicator.</p>
